The functionality from a technical point of view

The Corinis CCM is based on Java/XML-technology and has therefore a trendsetting design and an extremely flexible structure. This guarantees independence from database, platform and also display devices. The data-, application- and presentation-layer are strictly separated. Communication between the layers is done via XML-technology. With this it's guaranteed that any database or even the filesystem can be used to store the data without any adaptions of the application. The same is true for the data-display or the application-design.

In the data layer data can be stored with any data base or even the file-system.
In the application layer the Core Server is the required base of the system. Normally there's a webserver connected to it for displaying the content and the other (internal and external) modules with their respective functionality.
In the presentation layer data is parsed and displayed depending on the display-device and -platform. Communication between the layers is done via XML securing the flexibility of the system.

The base for Corinis is the Core Server which handles database-, session-, user- and workflow-management. To this server any module may be connected via Java or XML-technology.

These modules communicate among each other through the Core Server. If it's necessary to include a third party-system as a module you only need to attach the system via XML to the Core Server and it's completely integrated. It can communicate with all other modules, use the rights- and database-management, etc.
