Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) is the base for the
unification and flexibilization of a company's business processes.
The aim is to homogenize and integrate the multitude of used
systems and applications.
Mostly the existing applications are isolated applications which
are connected via a complex interface-"mish mash". These
connections are expensive (with every new application, or even
worse with every change of an application they must be updated),
inflexible and complex. If e-business or internet comes into play
also business processes and the information- and data management
must be adapted.
Ideally all applications use a shared information- and knowledge
pool, are connected via a central workflow, are combined to
individual transactions and users operate them via one interface on
one platform.
To realize such szenarios Corinis supplies a
framework based on future-proof technology. Within the
application layer all modules, applications and
functionalities are connected to the central core module by
XML interfaces. This module allows centralized
database-, session-, rights-, user-, role-, and workflow
management. Communication is done with XML, therefore any external
systems may be integrated with easy to develop XML-adapters in the
system. A central and highly flexible workflow-control allows
connecting the modules to individual workflows and create a
completely integrated solution.
As Corinis is also flexible in the data layer
(the connection to the application layer is also done by XML),
applications with different datastorage- and database systems can
be integrated.
The flexible presentation layer, which also
communicates with the application layer via XML, allows not the
only the unified presentaton of the system's functionalities, but
also the the individual presentaton of bundles of functions on user
or workflow level. This holds true even for end devices. Therefore
mobile devices can be integrated easily without adapting the
backend solution.
Above all Corinis offers professional solutions for
content- and community management
which can also be integrated. With these the professional
implementation of an e-business strategy and the necessary backend
integration is significantly easier.
